How can I buy DAHAI SOLAR products in Romania?

Installers, EPC contractors and distributors can request a quote directly from this page. Selected products are also carried by Romanian distributors such as SIMAI Technology and Alaska Energies. Tell us the product type, quantity and delivery city and we confirm availability and the right contact.

Which products are available for the Romanian market?

Explore the solar module, inverter and energy storage product ranges. Include the model, quantity and delivery city in your enquiry so availability can be confirmed for your project.

Do DAHAI SOLAR modules and inverters carry the certifications required in Romania?

Request the certificate for the exact model and application. Check the certificate holder, model coverage, standard and validity against your project requirements.

Is there a DAHAI SOLAR project reference in Romania?

Yes. A 1.1 MW rooftop PV plant was installed at a Louis Vuitton facility in Sibiu, Romania. See the Local project references section on this page.

Is DAHAI SOLAR the same company as DAH Solar?

No. DAHAI SOLAR (Dongying, Shandong, China; Romanian entity DAHAI SOLAR S.R.L.) is not related to DAH Solar. Please check the brand name and the legal entity on quotations and certificates.

Who do I contact for technical support in Romania?

Use the Contact page and include the product model, serial number, installation country and a description of the issue.

If I export surplus solar power in Romania, how will my supplier credit me, and which charges will I still pay?

Law 160/2026, in force since 26 July 2026, changed Romania’s prosumer rules. Up to 200 kW per site, quantitative compensation applies until 31 December 2030 and is now settled monthly: grid electricity you use is billed at your contract’s active-energy price plus all legal tariffs and taxes, and every kWh you export is bought at that energy price minus the components the law excludes. So on grid consumption you still pay transmission and distribution tariffs, system services, the cogeneration contribution, green certificates, excise and VAT. Surplus delivered from 26 July 2026 is valued in money each month instead of being carried forward in kWh for 24 months. For 200–400 kW, suppliers pay the monthly weighted-average day-ahead (PZU) price. ANRE’s implementing orders were still in public consultation. Checked: 8 November 2026.

Which home battery subsidies are open in Romania right now, who can apply and how?

The national scheme is the Programme for installing electricity storage systems, run by AFM under Ministry of Environment Order 1904/2026, with a 400 million lei budget. It is open to individuals who already hold prosumer status, however their PV was financed. AFM covers up to 75% of the project value, capped at 15,000 lei including VAT, with an eligible-cost ceiling of 1,500 lei per kWh. Batteries need at least 10 kWh, 5,000 cycles, a BMS and automatic charging from PV surplus. Installers are validated 16–20 November 2026; individuals then apply online in the AFM application from 20 November (10:00) to 25 November 2026 (23:59). Projects are ranked by score, not first-come. A guide amendment entered consultation on 6 November; check afm.ro before applying. Checked: 8 November 2026.

What funding is available for businesses and farms installing solar and storage in Romania (e.g. AFIR)?

For farms and agri-food companies, the main scheme is AFIR’s state-aid Energy Scheme for new renewable capacity for self-consumption, funded by the Modernisation Fund. Its third session ran 15 June–14 August 2026 and covered solar PV with or without storage; wind was dropped. The allocation was 265 million euro (145 million for up to 1 MW, 120 million above 1 MW). Aid is 100% non-refundable, up to 650,000 euro/MW up to 1 MW or 550,000 euro/MW above 1 MW, within 20 million euro per beneficiary. That session is closed; AFIR published the final selection report for projects above 1 MW on 3 November 2026 and said it may open a new session if funds remain. Other companies should watch Modernisation Fund calls on energie.gov.ro. Checked: 8 November 2026.

What tilt and orientation work best for solar panels in Romania?

Using EU JRC PVGIS 5.3 (SARAH3 data 2005–2023, crystalline silicon, 14% system losses, free-standing fixed mounting), the optimum is roughly due south at 36° in Bucharest (1,298 kWh per kWp per year), 38° in Cluj-Napoca (1,217) and 35° in Constanța (1,313). A south-facing roof at 30° loses less than 1%. East or west faces at 10° give about 83–85% of the optimum (Bucharest: 1,093 east, 1,099 west); at 30° about 79–81%. An east–west layout therefore yields roughly 15–20% less per kWp, but spreads output into morning and evening, which can raise self-consumption. Rerun PVGIS for your exact site, roof pitch and shading. Checked: 8 November 2026.

How long does a solar system take to pay back in Romania?

There is no single payback figure: it depends on your tariff, self-consumption share, system cost and any grant. A transparent method: (1) estimate annual yield for your site with EU JRC PVGIS (at optimum tilt and 14% losses, about 1,217–1,313 kWh per kWp in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest and Constanța); (2) split it into self-consumed and exported kWh, ideally using hourly meter data; (3) value self-consumed kWh at your full bill price, and exported kWh at your supplier’s settlement price (up to 200 kW) or the monthly PZU average published by OPCOM (200–400 kW); (4) payback = net cost after grants ÷ (annual savings − maintenance), allowing for panel degradation. Current supply offers are on ANRE’s comparator at posf.ro. Checked: 8 November 2026.
